Founder Kate Mac received her academic training at the National Art School in Sydney and went on to a successful career in the fashion industry, becoming Managing Director for one of Australia’s leading luxury fashion brands.  Always equally passionate about fashion and interior design, Kate had an epiphany after starting her own family. Kate redesigned her home to resolve the balance of practical functionality demanded by family life with the luxurious elevated aesthetic she loved, and in the process recognized the need for an interior design company dedicated to the needs of modern family life.  

Kate’s eminent fashion background is evident in her use of textiles and soft furnishings, restrained prints and sophisticated color palettes. Fashion cues are woven throughout her design ethos, evident in the way she mixes hi/low styles, blends on-trend items with investment pieces, and uses contrasting design elements that deliver maximum impact or quiet reflection as the space requires.

 Kate firmly believes in collaboration, balancing the aesthetic integrity of every project with the needs and personality of the client. Working with a hand-picked group of architects, builders and craftspeople Kate approaches each project with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a smooth process from the initial design consultation through to the build and individual styling of each space.
